saved game export system
latest update (1.3.3) now has a rudimentary export/import system. It's not perfect, but I am not ready to try and build out a comprehensive save manager. Instead, consistent with the save system, export/import will only be from within the scene/level of the saved game. So,, to import a save,, you go to the scene which the save was created, and import it to there. ,,, If the player does not know which scene the save was created, they can simply open the file of the save, and the name of the scene is the file in that folder.
The export system also only works from the scene, while the save is actively loaded. To export, the player can load the save they wish to export, then export it.
I have also updated the instructions a little bit, to reflect recent changes in how to interact with the game.
Also I have been struggling with everything being green,, and the "three two one" counter is pink at the moment. This is because although I thought blue would be effective, blue is very often a background color in space, particularly since I use the earth as a skybox so often. Also, blue is a good ring color, so blue is present overall quite a lot. Green is my OSD color at present, but it is also the racemesh color, so as a result when there is a highlighted "next hoop" ,, it can blend with the OSD texts, making it difficult or impossible to see them all of the time. Normally, the mesh is only present for a brief period,,, but during the 3,2,1 countdown, if the 3,2,1 is overlayed on a racemesh, or the backdrop, the ship does not move during this time and I often wished it were a different color. Of the colors, while playing color-wheel,, only pink was the most likely color to be visible in all conditions,, so for now (although not a standard race countdown color) the countdown is pink. I do suspect this will result in some players wishing to not play the game at all,, although I prefer to have visibility. In the future I hope to learn how to make colors of things like the OSD and the racemeshes fully customizable, which should alleviate some of the stress of the green OSD, as players will be able to tune their visibility to their preference. For the forseeable future, this will not change, though, although I may experiment with different colors.
