Officially ready for initial playtest!
I am now ready for playtesters. I will be a free game, so this isn't a call for playtesters, but it's more of an internal designation,, where at this point I personally feel that I've reached the minimum level of features built in so that players can expect to run the game, figure out what to do, and how to do it using the most common sorts of clicking around that they do in any other game.
I am confident that without further explanation, a player should be able to use all of the features in the game without trying to find some kind of tutorials etc.
Also, all of the gameplay that should be unique to the game should already be available in the game. Some things will probably change, for example I will be potentially interested in expanding the capabilities of the background music system, the OSD layout system (all just more player customization) and probably some more diversity in menu system access (so,, more access to ship settings from the main menu would be an example, rather than first needing to load into a ship to adjust the settings for that given ship).
Additionally, there are vehicles that I have imagined might be fun to implement, but I have either not figured out how to implement, or have not really tried but have imagined one or two parts that may take some learning on my part. There are also some options that would be flight mechanics for these optional vehicles , where some degree of this uniqueness could be made available to other vehicles in the form of options such that there can be altogether more diversity in vehicle experience. (for example, in the game is already a forward-only vehicle, however it is also possible to set up the normal space-vehicle to operate in forward only mode, and also in forward mostly mode with significantly reduced, yet still available thrust in other directions) ,,, so this particular example is presently available, but there are others that may not be, for example the ability to have gravity with more vehicle types than just the rockhopper, or to have higher gravity or lower gravity, and the like. These features, however, would be something a player might seek after some amount of time in playing the base game features, and as such are lower on the priority list.
